Jesus Christ is the “Visionary Extraordinaire”

His vision for our kingdom plan, purpose and destiny is better than anything than we can ask, think or imagine according to His power that is at work within us.

“O Lord, please hear my prayer! Listen to the prayers of those of us who delight in honoring you. Please grant me success today by making the king favorable to me. Put it into his heart to be kind to me.”
Nehemiah 1:11

Nehemiah had a vision on his heart, but he had to wait four months for The Lord to intervene on his behalf. Scripture tells us that he did not spend four months doubting and whining about his present conditions. He did not burn daylight complaining at the obstacles. He trusted in the waiting, prayed and planned.

Has the Lord given you a dream or vision that you have waited to come to fruition for 4 months? How about 4 years? I know in my own life, there are some dreams, goals and visions that have tarried for 24 years. However, over the past 5 years Jesus has been impressing upon me to dream again, dream BIG, don’t let go of the vision. Back in 2014, between Christmas and New Years the Holy Spirit impressed upon my heart to start writing down visions, dreams, and goals. Several months later in 2015 a word was given to me and continually confirmed about vision. They were reignited by the fire of the Holy Spirit. The same fire that burned them up and off of my life, burned some of them back in!

Jesus put those things on my heart and He did not intend for them to disappear. He is extremely PURPOSEFUL! The Holy Spirit actually led me to enroll in Bible College, to seek out Bible stories and begin reading Christian leadership books to remind me that Habakuk 2:3 states, “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.”

There were visions that I buried so deep they would not even begin to be on the grid. My radar would no longer detect these goals! Why? Were they too big? The doubts sounded like a reel on automatic in my mind saying lies to me such as; I didn’t have the favor, the timing had passed, my life choices defied the vision and it was simply too late! After researching The Word and pressing into Jesus I was able to go deeper in intimacy with Him. He began to renew my mind and heal the areas of my heart that were broken.

That season began stirring up visions that I let die. But even now, I’m reminded of the scripture that says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except the grain of wheat falling into the ground dies, it abides alone; but if it die, it bears much fruit.” John 12:24.

Transformation of my heart towards these visions began to take place and the Ruach breath of God has been rebirthing them ever since. I was inspired by Jesus to dual enroll in college to work toward my Doctorate degree while working on a project he dropped on my heart. My mindsets suddenly began to shift. As Proverbs 19:21 reminds me, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. So, yes, some of the visions perished because they were my own plans, but the ones that remained and continue bubbling in my spirit have started to come to life in my prayer and worship time! Jesus has given me a supernatural peace over the things that burned up and off of my life that I “thought” were from Christ.

He even led me to creating vision boards and applying scripture as well as graphics to clearly lay out my visions. There are different categories of vision that have been pset before me over the years. It has been fun! Jesus is fun! From very small visions that need to be practically accomplished to HUGE visions that will only come to fruition supernaturally. Because of these seasons and being inspired by the Holy Spirit, prophets in the Bible like Nehemiah, my spiritual leaders and Generals of the Faith I learned how to pray and quote scripture over these visions. I only want His will for my life and prayer time is critical in order for us to seek out His will. Andrew Stanley says it this way, “ Prayer is critical to vision development. Here’s why: We see what we are looking for; we often miss what we don’t expect to see.”

Each year, during the fourth quarter of the year, Jesus motivates me to vision cast with Him! Then in between Christmas and New Years I do a year end review with The Lord. It entails quiet time just reflecting on my entire year; spirit, soul, body, marriage, family, just to name a few categories that we review. From that place along with the last quarter of the year, I ask Jesus to give me fresh vision for the New Year!

Do you have a vision? If your answer is yes, considering writing it down, making it plain and praying over it! If your answer is no, consider praying for new vision! You just might be surprised of what the CEO of the Universe has in store for your life. He’s the extraordinary strategist.

“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”
Ephesians 3:20

Remember He created you to carry out His EXTRAORDINARY VISION for your life! You were born for such a time as this.
